We're updating Create's pricing – here's why

• We’re switching to credit-based pricing. Credits are used for AI generations.
• Pro plans now come with monthly credit limits (and higher tiers for more credits)
• If you’re already a paid member, your price stays the same - and you’re automatically upgraded to higher tiers for free for the next 6 months

We’re making our first major update to Create’s pricing, and I wanted to walk you through what’s changing, why now, and what it means for you.

When we launched Create, we kept pricing simple: a generous free plan, flat-rate paid tiers (Pro or Business), and no message limits. We weren’t sure how many people wanted to build apps using plain English. But we bet there were more than most assumed.

Turns out, we were right.

Since launch, usage has exploded. People are building everything from weekend prototypes to full products making money. Most aren’t engineers - just new builders shipping their first thing.

To keep up, Create has evolved fast – from a “text to app” generator to a full-blown AI agent for product creation.

Every time we improve the AI, usage spikes. It’s exciting. But it’s also… expensive. And one size fits all pricing no longer fits – especially as Create gets more “agentic”

So here’s what’s changing

We’re moving to credit-based pricing.

When you upgrade to a Create Pro plan, you’ll get:

• Monthly credits for generations and in app AI integrations
• One-time top-up credits you can buy as needed (they never expire)
• All features unlocked – full privacy, custom domains, advanced integrations, and more

Higher tiers come with more credits per month (and volume discounts)

Each message to Create will use a variable number of credits based on the models used and the complexity of the task. You won’t need to choose models - Create automatically optimizes for quality and efficiency.

Why credits?

Create isn’t just a code generator - it’s an agent. You can say “Add a sign up flow” and it might tweak a single line of code…or take 5 coordinated updates across your app.

Charging per message no longer makes sense. Credits let us reflect what’s happening under the hood.

Credits also let us “throw more tokens at it” in some cases. Sometimes better models or more context dramatically improves results. In the past, we’ve sometimes held back — because giving everyone that power on fixed priced plans might lead to financial ruin. Now, Create can use what’s best for your app, when it makes sense.

We know “credits” can feel abstract. We don’t love them either. But after looking at every pricing model out there, we think they’re the cleanest way to align value with cost – especially as Create acts more like an agent than a tool.

We’ll keep making every action as efficient as possible (and yes, $20/mo still goes a long way). And as more people use Create, we’re negotiating lower rates from model providers - and passing those savings to you. Over time, your same plan will simply do more.

What about existing paid members?

If you were on a paid plan before this update – thank you. You bet on us early and that means a lot. 

You’re automatically upgraded to higher tier plans for the next 6 months (at no extra cost):

• Old $19/mo Pro plan → you’ll now get Pro 100k (usually $99/mo)
• Old $99/mo Business plan → you’ll now get Pro 200k (usually $199/mo)

No action needed. Most of you won’t hit these limits - but now you’ve got room to go bigger. After these 6 months are up, you can choose the plan that fits your needs.

We know pricing changes aren’t exactly fun. But we hope it’s clear why we’re making one. It lets us really push what Create can build for you.
